About SDFU, Our Mission & Our Values

The mission of the State Defense Forces United (SDFU) is to provide an organized, trained, disciplined, rapid response volunteer teams (CERTs) to assist state and local government agencies and civil relief organizations during emergencies to ensure the welfare and safety of US citizens serving in support of the US Constitution.

United States Code, Title 32, Section 109

SDFU has a steadfast purpose to help ensure the safety of the communities they stand guard in, assist local and federal law enforcement when needed or requested and assist their communities in times of emergencies or disasters by providing a deployable CERT

SDFU reaches out to both current serving and veterans to remind them of their oaths, to teach them more about the Constitution they swore to defend, and to inspire them to defend it. See below for details on how we do that. SDFU also includes a membership program designated as “Associate Members”, which consists of patriotic citizens who have not served in uniform but who serve now by supporting this mission with their Associate Membership and volunteer activities. SDF welcomes our Associate Members as valued members and appreciates their support of our mission.

Our mottos are “Parati Servire” which means “Ready to Serve” and “Facta Non Verba” which means “Deeds, Not Words.”

State Defense Forces United (SDFU) is a pro-government, pro-law enforcement, non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders, who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” That oath, mandated by Article VI of the Constitution itself, is to the Constitution, not to any politician currently serving in office.

We value community safety, and believe every legal citizen throughout America has a constitutional right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness without fear of violence, anarchy, threats or intimidation. We value community safety and SDF volunteers pledge to help their communities in times of need.

We value readiness and preparation and encourage every member to become actively involved in furthering their knowledge, skills and certifications. FEMA training and certifications, CPR and basic life support, communications, disaster preparedness, threat awareness, public safety, cyber safety and many like this are just a few examples of the type of education and training SDF helps facilitate for its members.

All SDFU members must apply for membership and submit to a thorough background check prior to admission into SDFU. This website is for members of the SDFU and collaborating patriot groups throughout each state who share a common goal to preserve freedom, liberty and Constitutional rights for citizens of the United States, regardless of race, color, religion or ethnicity.

We specifically denounce anti-government and hate groups of all types – whether categorized as “far-right” or “far-left” including members of white-supremacist groups, Boogaloo Bois, PNW Youth Liberation Front, Redneck Revolt aka John Brown Gun Club, NFAC, ANTIFA, BLM, and other domestic terrorist groups who aim to sow hate, anarchy, destruction and/or terrorize American communities with acts of intimidation or threats of violence.
